Really? So you mean a return to hunter-gathering for a much reduced human population? Which is the only sustainable energy system - ie, that provided by the sun through photo-synthesis.

Any other energy system is inherently unsustainable, as is civilisation itself.

Whilst an interesting thought experiment I get the impression the predicaments we are in are being misinterpreted as problems.

Great constellation! Never thought that way. It is like combining the brain and heart. If they could together find a way to draw down 250GT of carbon from the atmosphere, we, and the next generations, may be saved. Perhaps agentic AIs could help here in scaling up.

Fascinating ideas

Currently our institutions are the problem as they force people to focus on the wrong things

An example is that 8 percent of graduates of universities end up working in their fields of study

So 92 percent misdirected

Our defense department creates forever war
